Services

"Just like home"

Our Approach to Dementia, Alzheimers and Other Movement Disorders.

Services we provide

Springfield Homes will offer your loved one a beautiful home and a quality of life not found in large facilities.  We specialize in geriatric advocacy  which no other facility in the area does similar to us and we offer this at no additional cost to our residents.  The home is more then a Residents room, its our Resident Family Home.  When you walk into a Residential care home of ours, its like walking into a wonderful memory of visiting your elderly relatives and friends in their own home.  It's non-institutinal and offers piece of mind.  When you make the decision to move them to their new home, you will know immediately that you made the best choice!    Be prepared to stop in for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie when you visit.  It's what we do, It's HOME!

Services we provide

Our Approach to Dementia, Alzheimers and Other Movement Disorders.

Services we provide

  1. Geriatric Management - Support and advocacy for social and medical welfare with physicians in person.  Our  team does all the work and attends the appointments, so your loved one  doesn't get left behind or fall through the cracks of the current  system.  In  the area, this is unique among all Assisted Living facilities
  2. Having a Care Ratio of 6:1 is something we are proud of, and we have set up the Model as a guarantee.  We  won't overwhelm our staff like other facilities where the care ratio has been 1:15 or even 1:24. Furthermore,  management and assistance are always available to help residents and their families 24/7 if needed.
  3. As  educators and coaches, we oversee and educate all staff members. Our  environment is one where new concepts and education are a part  of the job description.  The  use of cameras in our community areas supports all approaches and  enables us to teach from the footage to provide better quality care and a  hands-on approach to each situation.
  4. A full-time RN Nurse Educator serves as a vital member of our team.  Manage  all resident care concerns and diagnoses and administer medications to  ensure staff can assist residents with their medications properly and  safely.
  5. The  Direct Care Physician provides innovative and supportive opinions on  the medical and social care needs of the residents, collaborating  with the Management team to understand each resident's personal needs  as well as all medical and social care services that will benefit the  residents' well-being.  A  perfect example of continuity of care!
  6. It is our policy to hire only Certified Nursing Assistants or Certified Direct Support Professionals who  have two years  ‘experience working with the elderly.  This is in  a facility setting that meets strict IDPH standards and our high-quality care standards.
  7. We  provide home-cooked meals with the input of residents and their  families to create memories of those special dishes we had at home.
  8. It is the responsibility of management to provide transportation and advocacy to all appointments.  Our  policy is not to send any resident alone to an appointment where important information is to be conveyed.  This  is mandatory for all medical appointments.
  9. Creating  purposeful activities, indoor and outdoor resources, and daily  activities revolving around their independence and how they can  contribute to the community to give them a reason to feel productive no  matter the level of mobility or cognition.  Offering Aquatic therapy,  animal therapy as well as vetted third-party insurance-approved  Occupational, Physical, or social therapies a Physician  would deem necessary to create a better quality of life.
  10. To  ensure that residents achieve their full potential, each Third-Party  Physical Therapy provider is vetted by us, and our staff participates  in therapy sessions.
  11. We offer age-in-place care, which means we can accommodate residents even in hospice care. As part of this process, we will work with a vetted third-party hospice company that will participate in the care, which will be  overseen by our in-house physician, who will make decisions about the best care scenario even into the final days.  We  make sure they're treated with dignity and surrounded by familiar faces, advocating for them even during their last days. We  accommodate their wishes and needs as they deem appropriate in a home-like environment.

Our Approach to Dementia, Alzheimers and Other Movement Disorders.

In our home, we are fortunate to have a practitioner who specializes in Alzheimer's and Dementia. In addition, we have a practitioner who knows the Monterssori approach to Dementia.  Rather than focusing on what they cannot do, we concentrate on what they can do.  Providing quality of life and purpose in areas that would not be available in a traditional facility.
