"Our Why"

Even though this was never my intention, I have found my passion through the care of my own. As a result, I determined that acts of service were my Love Language. Since I have always been what they call a Disruptor and Innovator, I have chosen to follow this path to improve our system and the way we care for our loved ones. "There's no higher calling than being a caregiver". 

My God-given opportunities have allowed me to advocate for others in a capacity that I consider truly blessed. I was seeing a model of care in Assisted Living that couldn't meet everyone's needs as I thought they should with the rapidly growing baby boomer population. This model seems to be the area's only option for our loved ones' care. I quickly found out that being a Director of this type of Model would not be in line with my values and not serve the population as they deserved. 

With a great leap of faith and the support of many families with much encouragement, Springfield Homes was founded, Now Springfield Homes & Generational Care. 

Having been fascinated by the way the populace is cared for in Europe, I decided to develop what is now known as the "Ranch" and the "Manor". Licensed under Illinois Public Health as Sheltered Care. Regardless of their diagnosis or cognitive level, my Resident Family continues to benefit from new approaches and innovations for alternative forms of care. The assistance we provide is centered around the residents' needs, utilizing Montessori approaches to find purpose in their day. We operate as a family and that becomes a very natural way to nurture them, as well as to provide true person-centered care with oversight that can truly make a difference in their lives. 

We have celebrated our 5th year and looking forward to the Research and Development component advocating for residents/clients and their families to find the Best Quality of Life possible. 

 We are distinguished by our professional geriatric management team that provides care to all residents. Our staff is committed to advocating for all of our residents and clients.  It is best to leave this to the professionals! By advocating and demanding continuity of care in all situations, we navigate the Medical and Social needs of all residents and clients. These services aren't available anywhere else in the area, which we value and offer, because it's just the right thing to do.  

Providing a residence in a serene setting with access to social interaction and activities that are good for the mind, body and soul. 

Studies show care in these surroundings are much better than your large facility/institutional type settings. Especially for those who may have cognitive issues or rehabilitating from injury.  We have programing and entertainment that other communities don't have access too.
